Change your plan
Plans can be changed any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
How to change
- Open Account → Plan in the sidebar.
- Scroll to the Change plan section, or click Change plan in the snapshot card to jump there.
- Click Switch plan on the plan card you want.
- The Paddle checkout opens. Confirm the payment for the difference (upgrade) or the new rate (downgrade).
Hero Marketer reflects the new plan once Paddle processes the change (usually within a minute). For payment method changes, cancellation, or invoices, click Manage billing in the snapshot card to open the Paddle billing portal.
Upgrades
When you upgrade:
- Effective immediately. New plan limits and credit allocation kick in right away.
- You're charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period at the higher rate. The next full charge is at renewal.
- Credits are topped up to the new plan's allocation. If you upgrade from Pro (20 credits) to Growth (50 credits) mid month, you receive an additional 30 credits up front.
- Existing accounts and products are unaffected. Upgrading from Pro to Agency, for example, doesn't add accounts; it just unlocks the ability to add more.
Downgrades
When you downgrade:
- Effective at next renewal, not immediately. You keep the higher plan's features and limits through the end of the current billing period.
- No proration or refund. You've already paid for the current period at the higher rate.
- Limits enforce on renewal. If the new plan would put your account over a hard limit, Hero Marketer may require you to reduce usage before the downgrade can be completed. We do not delete accounts, products, or campaigns automatically.
If a downgrade would put you over a hard limit (more accounts than the new plan allows), Hero Marketer flags this before confirming. You'll need to disconnect the over count accounts before the downgrade can complete.
Cancellation
To stop paying entirely, cancel rather than downgrade. See Cancel your subscription.
Switching between annual and monthly
Hero Marketer is monthly only at the moment. Annual plans are not currently offered.
What happens to existing credits
On upgrade:
- Your monthly allocation increases. New allocation lands immediately, prorated for the rest of the period.
On downgrade:
- Your monthly allocation decreases at next renewal. Existing balance is unchanged. If you had 30 credits left when you downgrade, you keep those 30 through renewal.
Topped up credits (purchased separately) are unaffected by plan changes.
